A Dog Travels to Manchester

We picked Manchester for the first 2 months of our around the world adventures. We got a great deal on an Airbnb that would allow us to stay an extra month. Many listings on Airbnb offer great discounts if you book 30 days or more. I have seen some listings offer 70% off or more. Unless we are booking for only a weekend or so, we always book with Airbnb. We have found it to be much cheaper than a hotel, and have had nothing but good experiences with it so far.

The city is a great central location to the rest of the UK. Manchester is the UK’s second most populous city. The city is not only a multi cultural melting pot, but a vibrant city full of energy and friendly people. The first thing that got my attention is the beautiful unique old architecture. I have never seen anything like it. The second would have to be the British accent. It’s just so charming.

The first day we arrived into Manchester it was very cold and cloudy, for us Floridians. It was nice to get out of the Florida heat though. Florida has decided to skip winter this year. It took a few days to convince my dog to go for a long walk outside. The ground gets so cold we usually end up carrying him for a while. We are still on the hunt for a pair of booties that will actually stay on his feet.

When we walked into the big city for the first time. It was a little rainy and very cold, so my dog was a little nervous. Once the rain stopped, Coco was immediately back to his normal self. He got a big whiff of some delicious chicken cooking, and was then really interested in the people and restaurants around us. Coco loves to people watch, I think even more than me and Daniel do. We are fortunate that he is great with people. I know many chihuahuas that will bite anyone who comes near them.
